Community discussion: Spring on the horizon
February is winding down, and longer days are ahead. 🌷What about springtime are you looking forward to?

I am in the minority. I live where it is warm and I love cold weather and short days. I am intolerant of the heat. I run hot. The first day of spring has always been my least favorite day of the year. I absolutely love fall and winter! Joy fills my soul when the time changes in the fall… that extra hour! I am happy for everyone who enjoys the change to spring. I’ll wave to you with my dorky neck fan on. 🤪
The plants and trees overflowing with flowers and fresh leaves and new growth. Colors bursting across the hills and along the sidewalks. How hardy plants can be! They remind me that I can be hardy as well 🙂
For it to be less dark
Hoping to be able to leave my apt more for nice walks
I am looking forward to walking my little dogs outside in warmer weather. Especially not having to climb over snow for them to potty!
Easter is my favorite holiday my whole family dresses in one color and we celebrate Jesus resurrection!! i’m so excited
I’m excited for warmer weather and seeing fresh flowers blooming when I go outside 🥰
My birthday (April), starting Culinary School
Not having to see 15 foot tall snow piles everywhere I go
Easter
Walking outside
I love how the air feels in the spring. I look forward to being outside longer and whatever I choose to plant in my garden boxes growing.🌷🌻
Warmer weather for sure! Because I have cute outfits that I can't wear in the cold 🥶.
Family and friends coming over more.
Hiking! I do go for short hikes at the preserve in the winter, but spring weather is better for the nicer hikes.
gardening barefoot !
The sunshine, I'm so ready 😭
Farmers markets
Nicer weather so I can go for walks outside, longer days, and more sunshine before it gets too hot in the summer for my blood 😄
Longer days, more light, more warmth, going to the beach more ☀️
Going outside for walks, sitting on my deck, going to the park
warmer weather
Everything!
Why does everyone like spring so much it’s overhyped

… I live an artist life of creating and using plants with nature as a medium to create with… I have been working on a hedge project 3/4 of a acre in size for years now with it being a living reef 🪸 of nature for perspective… if you can consider visualizing different plant species that feed and coexist with symmetry but are not necessarily “ HOA approved “ symmetry …lol even more so not meant to be neurotypical in a Neighborhood setting. That’s what I’m striving towards and enjoying myself creating it. A straight up chaos gremlin to the core for neurotypical HOA Ken and Karen types. … that would be my hedge reef 🪸 project. I like to include permanent junk artifacts as life’s symbolism that will eventually be overcome with the plant growth process that occurs naturally in a living hedge reef 🪸 … as I blueprint mentally each year’s edition to the piece. It’s a talking piece that I enjoy conversations with friendly strangers that are curious about it and not judgmental because it’s not a cookie cutter landscaped privacy hedge. It’s a four season art project to me that I work on for three seasons a year physically and then mentally one season a year ( winter ) thinking about what I can do to help it thrive as a living art project. Birds , butterflies 🦋 and other pollinators are the benefactors of this work. I get to see them use what I’ve created. It’s my zin spot. … on topic , I’m excited about what I’ve collected seed wise and knowledge wise that I am going to be adding this spring once the last frost warnings are finished for the year. That is late April here where I am. I have had an apprentice helping me with labor and muse energy and enthusiasm for two years now. I’m excited to see their growth this year too pushing the envelope of creativity that is alive , not still artwork 🖼️.
The weather!!
Just more sun. I have learned a lot more this winter. I am learning more about not feeding my compulsions.
I much prefer the cold since I'm heat intolerant but I am extremely excited to not have to wear my winter boots anymore 😂
Meeting my son ❤️ (I give birth this spring 😬)
