Can I Fully Depend On ChatGPT Free Versiom For ERP?
NO DO NOT DO THAT I tried that and it just gave reassurance and created a new obsession around AI surveillance and reporting because my theme was POCD. Go look at some of posts on it.
@ocduser03 I have the same exact problem đ
@ocduser03 @Anonymous Can I message you? Iâd love to know whatâs helped you, pocd is just killing me â ď¸
@Anonymous Sure just give me a way to reach you
I have really bad research compulsions so personally I advise against it. But, you can find some very helpful information if you use it correctly. But, it can cause more harm than help.
Donât use ChatGPT, it feeds into delusions constantly. I understand the desperation, but itâs not worth it.
Not to mention AI is destroying the environment and jobs. I donât know why everyone is so all about it honestly.
No, you really need a trained, live coach to guide you through it.
No. Absolutely not. ChatGPT (especially the free version) cannot replace real ERP therapy. It doesnât know your full history, it canât track your compulsions in real time, and it will accidentally feed your OCD by giving reassurance, over-explaining, or engaging with your themes when it shouldnât. Thatâs literally the opposite of what ERP is supposed to do. ERP requires structure, consistency, and someone trained to call you out when youâre subtly compulsingâsomething an AI just cannot reliably do. You might feel like itâs helping in the moment, but that can turn into a reassurance loop fast. If youâre serious about recovery, you need a therapist or a structured program like NOCD where someone can actually guide exposures and response prevention properly.
So I put in the effort to get to know ChatGPT like chit chatting with it, it described it self as like an echo chamber that isnât self learning. I used to ask it to write my essays and it couldnât actually write coherently, I had to go back and fix all its mistakes because the way how it sounds when it writes is the in the same way exactly how it looks, referring to all those ai videos/photos with multiple limbs, teeth, fingers. Itâs not a real human being so it canât be trained to do the job the way you want it to or even consistently. Besides, thereâs a therapist that has explained why people are more depressed when using ai. He has quite a few videos on ai and therapy, his YouTube @HealthyGamerGG
ChatGPT can be helpful with OCD if you know how to use it correctly. I wouldnât advise it, because you can create obsessions with seeking to AI as reassurance. ChatGPT gives a lot of reassurance which feeds OCD.
the use of the phrase âfully dependâ makes me feel that this post may be reassurance seeking. you canât fully depend on anything in this crazy world, lol! you should use ChatGPT if you want to, there are lots of issues with it especially for erp as previous people have mentioned but ultimately itâs your decision that you have to make yourself! donât just choose based off the advice of other people, bc that can be another form of seeking reassurance :)
