Need advice before I ruin my relationship!!

TLDR: partner and I share a small space and the clicking from his mouse and keyboard when gaming is all of the sudden driving me bananas!!! My partner and I have been together for 5 years and lived together for most of that time. He’s always been a gamer and I usually enjoy my own hobbies next to him while he games. It has worked great for us. Recently, when I was trialing a medication that I’m not even taking anymore, the clicking from his keyboard and mouse started making me insane. It’s like the only thing I can hear now. I have chronic headaches and if I’m in the room now the clicking makes my head pound immediately. We live in a one bedroom and I usually just hang out in our room now but I can hear it in here too. His desk is in our living room which is also the kitchen so I have to go near him clicking to get snacks or water and honestly I’ve become a hermit because I’m avoiding the sound so hard, I never leave my bedroom now. He has been as understanding as he can about it but doesn’t understand why it is suddenly bothering me so much (neither do I). He plays games that he can use a controller for a lot so we can still be in the same room but he still clicks throughout the day and on days he works from home (I always work from home so I am hearing it through the wall while I work as well). My health OCD flares up from the headache, my ROCD flares up from the intrusive thoughts I get when the sound starts exasperating my headache. It is making me so cranky!! I have tried loop earplugs and noise cancelling headphones and can still hear it though it isn’t as bad. I don’t know what to do because it’s unfair to ask him to stop doing something that brings him so much joy, but it is constant. I ruminate at night about how I will cope with the clicking the following day and how I will manage my anger if it hurts my head. It feels like those silly clicks are ruining my quality of life! We are trying to get a bigger place but idk what to do until then.
