I hate OCD

Same I'm just tired of ocd 's thing worst part is.. I'm not even diagnosed with ocd but the symptoms and everything matches with me and I have met many OCD people having same thing as me since I'm a teenager idk what to do and I have these doubts that since I'm a teenager my parents won't let me go to therapist :( and I have doubts what if I do not have ocd and my memories all those fake memories are real and I'm scared..

@Pheww Well, I’m not a teenager anymore. That was a long long time ago. Lol But according to what I have read on this forum, it sounds to me like you have the fake memories, which are really fake and are not real. Now I’m not a therapist and I know we are not supposed to reassure people that have OCD because they will never get the reassurance they need, however, I think it is good sometimes to reassure someone. I know there is a lot of people that are on YouTube that are very knowledgeable about different kinds of OCD and you may want to look into that. I would Google it first to see if you can find one that is very reputable. There was a guy that was very good that I looked into before and I can’t remember his name. Let me go back and see if I can find it and I will text it back to you. Our imaginations are so easy to let them run wild. I know as a Christian I have to say in my mind or out loud, scriptures that talk about renewing your mind and casting down imaginations. A lot of times I have to say I cast that down in the name of Jesus or I give that to you God. It takes self discipline to keep doing that which I am not good at to be honest with you. But the times I have done it and give it to God and not worry about it, it does work. With me, the not worrying about it and not analyzing it or trying to dissect it and overthink it is the hard part. It has to become a habit. Let me tell ya, I’m preaching to myself. I’ve had a hard hard time with OCD and I can’t take the SSRIs to help with it. I just can’t take those. I’ve tried I don’t know how many. Let me look up that guy for you on YouTube and I will get back with you…

@Cher54 - Thanks for such efforts 🥹, well actually the thing is I thought I'm going insane when I first experienced this but they were just thoughts and i eventually got over and then i got this false memory thing and I have lots of doubts , this false memory is created our of my fear umm like I had an innocent memory of past( this memory was real) but I had doubts what if something bad happened and i forgot then i forced myself to review and remember but nothing happened and i ended up creating false memories (fake) of event i feared but with time i started accepting it but when I accepted it ... But recently Another thing came up that i would never accept it's a fake memory too same theme but everything is different something my mind knew i would never accept and I had to come across this nocd and the thing is the more i research about false memory the more i get confused , Tommorow i spent my whole day reassuring myself either I have too much time or I'm unemployed , but I get confused "what if only limited topics are their in false memory and mine isn't there" "what if mine is so intense that it might not be there" "what if I have no OCD since I'm undiagnosed" or "what if there's different term for my type of false memory where everything is real" and the more i search the more i get confused about things 🤧 idk like yea since my symptoms does match with OCD like all of em but still i doubt since I'm undiagnosed nor my parents will allow me.. and when I think that ppl who do not have ocd has false memory too right and then doubts hit me "what if mine is too intense to be in the list" "what if the theories going on internet are real" "what if mine has seperate term" since I got confused between this theory false memory syndrome and false memory phenomenon ,

@Pheww Wow! Sweetie, you do have OCD because you are ruminating through that whole text. Some of these things you mentioned, I have never heard of! Well for one don’t believe theories on the Internet they are just theories. When you read a bunch of stuff on a certain topic it can get confusing and that just magnifies the OCD more. Try to just listen to those therapist that I suggested on YouTube and try not to read so much online about all of this because it is messing with you. Let me know if this helps you at all. ❤️ I think you are overthinking all this and that is another symptom of OCD. Overthinking analyzing, trying to figure it all out trying to gain reassurance, yep been there and still there. Stop reading right now and just listen to these therapists and see if they will bring you comfort. Good luck, sweetie. ❤️

@Cher54 - Yea , i tend to overanalyze and think alot even something as small as a theory i just saw this on Instagram and google about it too research about it cuz I took it in a wrong way but got to know the theory was just a movement and it's not scientifically proven and still i was doubting .. :( I'm currently 17 and idk what can I do since no one will let me go to a therapist and I have to deal with those false memory and ocd cuz I seriously want a diagnosis so that my ocd doubts can end regarding ocd , the doubts I get that what if I do not have ocd is frustrating :( , btw thanks for helping , I just always try to do something from time to time so that I don't do complusions, sometimes i overanalyze too much that I might misheard a therapist or would read a text many times to make sure the text was correct and that i didn't read anything wrong and please let me know of the guy on YouTube
