There’s an episode of Bojack Horseman where you get to hear his internal monologue (“Stupid Piece of …” s4 ep6). His is more centered around self-loathing, but the fast-paced rumination and repetitive words/phrases are so reminiscent of OCD.
I’ve named mine Dennis because it reminds me of a fat little bratty kid who pouts when he doesn’t get his way. Dennis seemed to fit, though maybe not quite like Dennis the Menace. If anyone has suggestions I’m all ears lol

This popped up. It was a really important coping mechanism for me when I first started realizing I had OCD. In order to get past the anxiety and paralysis, I would take third person look. Then actually write it out in my head like a sitcom or a play. It helped me get by in times where it felt impossible. Then, turned into more fun than real life. Twas a hard transition from my lil fantasy world back to actually building a real life. It’s not always top of mind, how bad things used to be. This is a reminder of how far I’ve come, as well as, it’s a lil funny for me 🤣

This is a book character, but Abeloth from the Fate of the Jedi series feels very similar to my OCD to me.
JAX FROM THE AMAZING DIGITIAL CIRCUS!!! Because he always thinks of the worse possible things, he bullies with the cast nonstop (esp Gangle), when they call him out, he gets a little reality check before going back to the avoidant, making-you-suffer Jax.
@Rizzi lol I was just thinking this! Or Caine due to his manic insecurities and making people go on adventures they hate and he wonders why no one likes him. OCD makes me go on the adventures In the mind that I don’t like and don’t want to be on then when the compulsions are done Caine/OCD says “wasn’t that fun!?” “Wait why are you still unhappy maybe a different angle will work!”
@Anonymous Aye yeah!!! Im leaning more towards Jax tho cuz OCD be a bully. Yeah Caine is a bully too but he's adorable/ does nice things sometimes and OCD isnt adorable or nice XD

My ocd is basically a dummies version of Pennywise it switches to different themes constantly if I'm not scared enough.

@nelirul what it sounds like to me is that your ocd latched on to something new, & you being scared of becoming something similar to her is the lie that ocd tries to convince us of, you’re not crazy for feeling this way or being scared, I see nikki as a person that didn’t have any control over herself, and that may be where the comparison is coming from, but, I don’t know if this advice will help, a good way to think of it is that nikki is just a character in a movie that was designed and the real actress is roaming free living her life being happy right now! so maybe you can start thinking of your ocd as that version of nikki!! :)

Honestly, probably Sora from Children of the Sea. Because even though it was very long ago, I do remember a time before my OCD. And I don't know what, but I feel fairly confident that it was influenced somehow? But essentially, in the series it's explained a lot better, Ruka is a young girl who struggles with wanting to be understood by those around her. And when she was a kid she saw a "ghost" Whale Shark in her father's Aquarium. She meets these two boys, Sora and Umi, and after meeting them she starts experiencing unwanted visuals about the ocean that distress her. It was influenced. In the books we learn more that it's mostly Sora who is influencing her intrusive thoughts. And even though it's not her own thoughts, it's still unwanted thoughts. So sometimes I feel like Ruka, and my OCD is Sora. Because even though it's clear that Sora is not Ruka, sometimes my OCD doesn't even feel like me. It feels detached but something I listen to regardless.
