My girlfriend and I just almost ended our relationship because I watched porn and now I have feelings of fear that she will want to be unfaithful because I was as well. It makes me a little nervous because during that argument she confessed to having a lot more previous sexual interactions with people in the past than what she had told me previously.
Thank you for your response it helps to know I’m not the only one going through this I just need to learn to be ok with her past because that is something that is a trigger for me but now I just need to practice being ok with it. I appreciate you taking time to respond.
@Salamander1 Of course. And if it gets hard just reach back out to me or talk to her. Communicating is what saved my marriage being able to talk and hear each others feelings and knowing both of our feelings were completely justified because you can’t fault somebody for feeling the way they feel but being able to express yourselves to each other can keep your mind from wondering sometimes too.

Just continue to be open to her and talk will work through it. I was in the same boat I was actually addicted to porn for most of my life and when I met my wife that I’m with now I didn’t shake it before we got together so I use to hide it from her. I use to watch porn and self pleasure multiple times a day sometimes I would watch porn and not even touch myself I just felt like I had to watch porn. The more I watched it the more stuff I wanted to see and the more rabbit holes I would go down. I even started looking at photos of her friends…. I finally felt so sick to my stomach that I couldn’t stop I finally opened up to her and it hurt her so bad that I had been getting off to other women and I was so terrified of her leaving me or getting revenge or going to porn to hurt me also. The day I told her she barely spoke a word and I laid in bed the rest of the day crying because I hurt my best friend and couldn’t believe I may lose the best thing that has ever happened to me because I couldn’t stop watching porn that I didn’t even care about anyways. But it took some time and a lot of talks and a lot of me reassuring her that I wasn’t that way and that it wasn’t because I wasn’t happy or satisfied but we did make it through that and that was before we even knew I had ocd but it made us stronger because going through hard stuff like that makes you stronger and more indestructible. Remember relationships and marriages are two people waking up everyday and choosing everyday to be with the person they are with. Love is not easy it’s work but it’s worth it to build that life with that person. Hang in there brother.
I just got it yesterday myself. I start therapy on Thursday but I have been researching alot and been listening to a good podcast called. “Get to know ocd” and that’s how I found out about his place. What I like about this app vs the podcast is the podcast is about a lot of big name people kind of but this app is about regular people like me expressing their dark secrets and making my dark secrets a little better but not being alone.
I like how you put that and I’m glad you are here on this app. My gf actually told me about it cuz she used to use it, I had my first therapy session coming up on Wednesday but it’s through this app and my insurance don’t cover it so ima try to get one with my insurance and see if I can find one cheaper
I’m glad you are too! I’m glad we are getting help. My appointment is through this app also and my dang insurance doesn’t cover it either but I opted for the Friday payments to make it a little easier for me.
I’ll do the same when I get my appointment set up
