Alien Disclosure and UFOs

For the past 4 years I been obsessing with the idea of Alien and UFO disclosure. As a devout Catholic, I have heard a lot of opinions about the topic that just makes me confused. In the past—which is not the case anymore— I would Google 'Alien' or 'UFO' and sort through the news to see if there were any new ground breaking stories at least 25 times a day. I find that my OCD shifts when I get compulsions under control. Lately, it has been been looking at prediction markets to see if what other people think to just looking at the news but with the idea of potentially finding any ground breaking news. It sucks because this topic has been hot in the media for the past couple of years so it is so hard to run from it.

Hello. I was raised Catholic, and technically still am, but I really consider myself to be Christian, more than anything. Anyway, I say that to say that I have identified with Catholicism. I personally do not believe in aliens or UFOs. I believe UFOs are our technology. Again, this is my personal opinion; you entitled to your own. I say this today that if you are worried or concerned from a Catholic’s perspective, pray and ask God for discernment. From an obsessing standpoint also pray, and voice your frustrations or fears with your therapist. I wish you much peace on your journey.

Sorry friend that’s tough. To speak on your confusion as a Christian myself I have often wondered or questioned a lot. But the one thing that ended up helping me was realizing that it’s not my job to figure this out. As believers we understand God is the God who goes before us, the God who exist outside of time and space and thinking back to his sovereignty I have come to understand not everything is for us to figure out or be in the known about and that’s ok! In the Bible job was shown Gods sovereignty and in this awe he covered his mouth and acknowledged gods infinite power. Now I’ll speak to the “need to be in the known.” As humans we are curious it’s ok to wonder or think about what’s “hot” right now but when we step outside of curiosity and it’s obsessive we really are pushing the limits to what God has intended us to understand or live by. As believers we need to understand we are not God and thankfully there is things in and of this world we may never understand or know about and that’s ok! I would like to challenge you to go against the grain. The media keeps us in the loop but that’s not how we were designed to live. Enjoy the now the fresh air worry less about tomorrow that’s biblical or the next minute or hour. Rest in his peace and in his sovereignty allow him to be THE God he is. For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways," declares the Lord. Isaiah 55:8. I pray you are able to declare to your ocd that God is in control and give yourself the permission to shrug next time your brain says but I really need to know. I promise you. One more thought Jesus said: “Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or drink; or about your body, what you will wear. Is not life more than food, and the body more than clothes?” I think this would apply here too. Hope all gets better friend. ❤️‍🩹
