My worst mistake, probably [Insights & comfort appreciated]

[18+ only] Last year, I shared fanfics with sexual/suggestive scenes in it on a discord server on a fandom I was in....and it slipped my mind there are teenagers in there :/ I was already 20 years old that time.. I was mainly talking to the adults there that I forgot there are minors in there. Thankfully the server only lasted for two weeks before it got deleted, but I still feel really bad. What's worse is that no one batted an eye, and I didn't receive consequences for it. I'm hoping no one cared about the fanfics I shared enough to click it. Sigh. I feel like a creep. the show where the server is dedicated to also deals with mature/suggestive themes... idc if teens watch it, but they really shouldn't be in the same space as adults when it comes to discussions....idk if that's just me or my moral ocd acting up but i really feel like a P because of it :((( I feel like such a bad influence and an irresponsible, disgusting adult. because of this entire thing as well, I lost interest with the show and AO3 itself, as I get insanely triggered by it when I remember my mistake. I feel so bad. i'm also planning to delete my discord account because of it too, and say goodbye to my friends (who are my age) for good, i guess.

hi!!! I hope this isn't some kind of reassurance but I just wanted to say that ur not a creep, p, or anything else for that!!! like u said it slipped ur mind, it's not like u were specifically targeting those teens. also, they're just fics! there are literal teens making those "spicy" fics themselves, hell i knew a few of my classmates did in Jr High!!! also u were literally just 20?!? u BARELY left teenhood and u just wanted to share some fandom content with other fans!! u were not being predatory!!! I do agree w you on teens being in a separate discord tho, cause I get where ur coming from, but 1) that's not on u, that's on the mod and 2) again you weren't singling out anyone in a predatory way. I get where ur coming from, i also have moral ocd, pocd and more so I totally understand ur mind at the moment.

hello...thank you for responding. yes, i was mainly talking to the adults there, i think that's why i forgot teens were there :') the server owner herself is a spicy fanfic author and she told me to send my recommendations on a separate fanfic channel so i thought it was a safe space to send it there...but yeah, i really need to think before doing things from here on out. honestly the more i analyze my stress over this, the more that i find it dumb that i feel this way ngl (don't we all feel this way somehow?) but i guess it's still valid...i will just see this as a reminder for me that i'm indeed an adult now and i should be more responsible with my actions.
