i'm also in univ and it takes me a while to do things because of it too...i also tend to overthink before submitting/once i submitted because what if everything i did is wrong, or if it ever gets flagged as AI..ugh.
My best years were deeply affected by OCD. During exams, intrusive thoughts made it extremely difficult for me to focus and perform the way I knew I could. Even now, studying takes me much longer because I constantly feel the need to make everything perfect. Perfectionism has become one of my biggest struggles. There was a time when I was confident, productive, and capable of doing things with ease. I know I was a very different person then. It took me a long time to truly accept that I have OCD, but accepting it was the first step toward understanding myself. My boyfriend and I also went through a breakup, and I carried that pain with me for a long time. Looking back, I realize that I have always loved and cared for other people more than I loved myself. But now I understand something important: the person who deserves my love the most is me. I have been living with OCD for almost ten years. I started therapy before, but I stopped. The journey has been incredibly difficult, and there were times when I felt completely exhausted. But despite everything, I still believe I can recover. I truly believe healing is possible. If you're going through OCD too, I want you to know that I understand how hard it is. It isn't easy, and the road can feel overwhelming. But let's not allow OCD to decide the rest of our lives. Let's keep fighting, one step at a time. Let's choose hope, healing, and ourselves. We still have the chance to make the rest of our lives beautiful, and I believe we can overcome this together.š¤ā¤ļø
