Anxiety attack
Uuuuuh, I just got an anxiety attack out of nowhere because something triggered one of my ocd themes and I was overthinking about it. I feel better but still scared, I'm trying my best to just let the thought be

STOP ATTACKING MY COMFORT THINGSSSS. I just HAS to attack the one thing that is my comfort zone waaah
dude this is me!!! i can’t watch anime or read manga anymore because now it triggers me when it used to be my escape :(
OH MY GOD, I FEEL THE SAME😭😭 I'm not able to continue reading my fav manga because my favourite character is there!! NORMALLY I'd be happy, but unfortunately OCD made my fav character a trigger...I still love them very much but it is still scary
@Anonymous RIGHT!!! For me right now it’s POCD and anime all have different art styles so even if I read something with only adult characters I still spiral thinking if they look like minors and freak out. It’s truly awful. I wish us both the best of luck!!
@Anonymous @Anonymous Dude. I literally have the EXACT SAME THING. I was so scared I was the only one. My favourite character has been my fav character for years (And i simp fo him). And now my ocd is questioning his appearance the whole time, with manga panels, sometimes anime, then fanart even though he is an adult😭 And then I get so worried that my brain is right or if it's just messing with me. But to not pay attention to the thoughts is the key to peace, so I'd recommend to us if we start reading manga again, with the discomfort! Like someone said "discomfort is your friend, not enemy." Thank you very much for trusting me with your ocd thoughts, now I'm even more sure what I have us ocd thoughts and not the truth, I hope it helped you as well!
@Anonymous That's actually what I have been freaking out the whole time so I know how you feel💓 For me it's attacking my fav character of all time who I REALLY love, instead of all Characters, but obviously it's attacking othe characters who I also started to really love lately. But this just proves it's ocd... I dont know if it helps, but I'd like to thing that 1: sometimes the artist does a mistake by a panel like we all do, making their appearance accidentally different, but they look canonically like an adult. 2: If other people who love the same character and never question those thoughts, then it's more likely to be OCD, because why would we exactly overthink about it? 3: Both of these options is OCD messing with us, so we don't have to figure out "the trufh" and just keep on loving the characters we have for years! I believe in positivity. BUT if the tip I have have you becomes another reassurance ocd, then it's better not to think about it like that, since it'll only get stronger and those thoughts will become ocd questions too! You have to let the thoughts bypass🥲
@Anonymous dude it feels so good to talk to someone going through the same thing. i actually am going to try and just enjoy reading manga again because i know i never had bad intentions before. i think another important thing is that fiction and reality are so different! anime characters don’t even look like real people and almost all could pass for ages 14-25 tbh. it’s been really hard but im actually doing a lot better today! thanks for trusting me with your thoughts ❤️
