I feel like a sick fraud
That’s it
That’s it
ive felt like this too many times to count, im sorry
@🧠 It’s ok. I just wish it would stop. I feel extremely unlucky. Sorry u felt like this also
You are not alone. You are stronger than you give yourself credit for.
Remember that we deserve love and compassion especially toward ourselves. The same love and compassion you would give to a friend or relative, try giving that to yourself. Write a nice sentence or note to yourself, as if you were writing it to console someone else.
@alan87 I wonder if I didn’t have OCD would I be weirded out if somebody told me they were dealing with the problems I’m dealing with now? I feel so gross all the time. It’s hard to give myself compassion. I’m kind of convinced I’m a bad person, but when I explained my problems to other people they say I’m not.
Hi Cristy! As someone who was diagnosed with Ocd a little over a year and a half ago I can definitely say that feelings of being a fraud or not really believing that you deserve what you have achieved or accomplished definitely comes part and parcel with the Ocd territory unfortunately… but as @alan87 said above it’s true that we all deserve love and to be loved, no matter who you are or think you are. Better yet, just because our Ocd minds tell us that we are frauds doesn’t make it true, since at the end of the day the thoughts we have are simply leaves floating by in a mental river or stream, they come and go but the river stays the same regardless. Ocd thoughts are merely intangible abstract things that aren’t real, no matter how convincing they might appear to be. Finally, remember this, you are never truly alone and we are all on this journey together. 🙂
@A Foolish Samurai Warrior I’ve had OCD for about five years and I genuinely am convinced is no longer OCD. I have done such horrible things and thought of such horrible things that I truly just don’t know anymore. For example, I was a weird kid because I was extremely traumatized and now I just deal with really bad thoughts and compulsions. My day-to-day life is very normal but when I’m alone, I’m just being mentally tortured and at the same time engaging in behaviors that make me question who I really am. I don’t know. I have really weird things of OCD and the contents around It is very disturbing to me. :((( I was doing well with my ocd and it all went downhill at some point I appreciate ur kind words a lot
@CristyS323 Well, that’s the sinister thing about Ocd, it tends to be the strongest when we are alone and don’t have anyone or anything to hold our attention and distract us from the (usually disturbing/horrible) thoughts we might have. But if you feel like it’s not Ocd anymore then that is quite possible too. Regardless, feeling like you’re a horrible person doesn’t necessarily mean it’s true, as we are all defined by our actions (usually towards others). Furthermore, nobody is perfect and we all make mistakes in life, regardless of whether we meant to or not. Essentially, just remember to cut yourself some slack, since we as people are not always the most impartial or fair judges of ourselves to begin with. 🙂
We all feel like things have gone downhill sometimes… but on the bright side we can always strive towards the next top of the hill too 😀
