Real event OCD & letting go of guilt: An OCD Awareness Month event with Chrissie Hodges
Update: You can watch the recording here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=l7vst9LpCL8 When OCD latches onto a past event, it can leave you questioning your intentions and character in a way that can feel impossible to move on from. Whether it was something you said, something you did, something you're not sure you remember correctly, or something you're unsure even happened at all, the guilt can feel heavy and confusing. Chrissie Hodges—mental health advocate, peer support specialist, and founder of OCD Gamechangers—understands this on a personal level. She's spent years talking openly about real event OCD and the emotions that can come with it. Now she's bringing that conversation to the NOCD Community in a live event. During this event, Chrissie will talk about how real event OCD can keep people trapped in guilt and self-questioning, why chasing certainty isn't the answer, and how the right treatment and support can help people build a healthier relationship with uncertainty and difficult memories. She’ll also answer questions from the audience. This event will be recorded, and a recording will be shared with anyone who registers for the event. All attendee cameras will be off for the duration of the event, and the Q&A will have an option to submit questions anonymously. Watch the recording here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=l7vst9LpCL8
