The fact that you’re so scared is proof that you’re not a murderer. But! Remember not to look for reassurance. Just remember that ppl who really want to kill ppl, aren’t crippled by the fear of doing it- I’m assuming they must get something out of it. Right now- I want you to get up wherever you are and get a glass of water, maybe step outside and take a couple of deep breaths. For me - it helps to do the “worry appointment” method when it comes to my obsessions (look into it online) good luck, everything will be okay.

@GJ7 Not sure what source you looked at- but consdensed explanation so I know we’re on the same page: worry appointment 5-10 minutes where you just let all your irrational thoughts ab your obsession run wild || the way this helped me was when you really let yourself go ham for 5-10 minutes you realize how crazy/repetitive it is. and it helps consolidate your obsession into a 10 minute time span, so the rest of your life isn’t so taken up by the thoughts in the back of your head.

@GJ7 Yes! It helped me. Everyone’s different, but I think it’s worth a shot in trying. but also, that method helped a lot more when my ocd became more manageable. Worry appointments were a way for me to manage my obsessions. But I understand if you’re in the earlier stages, and purposely thinking about your obsessions seems daunting. I would still just get up and go outside and do some focused breathing
