Being on acid was probably the shittest experience for me. If you're not in the right mental state anyway any lsd type drug will make you worse. Based on my experience anyway

Yeah I’ve found when I’m high I get very paranoid. It’s like I can tell my body is experiencing waves of the worst anxiety I’ve ever felt but I’m too out of touch to really process it. I’m wondering if some forms of anxiety or maybe extreme pessimism can affect a high because I know some say weed actually reduces anxiety. It would be nice to enjoy weed more if I learned a better mindset. Until then I’ve heard that other substances can have positive impacts without altering your mental state (shrooms) which I’m very interested in but I don’t know much else about them??♀️

@biodgrde I feel that. I feel like I lose my personality if I’m consistently on anything. Who knows what the best solution to anything is ??♀️ lol

Have you ever tried seeing an OCD therapist that specializes in ERP? It’s the gold standard way to get treatment

I can’t afford therapy right now, but I don’t intend to use any substance as a cure all. I mostly would like to know if anyone has experienced better or worsening symptoms of OCD while on these to avoid unpleasantness and possibly find an outlet for a so far unrelenting problem

@RiahL You should check out NOCD’s therapy. It’s only $50 per session and you see a top therapist in your state. It’s about $150 cheaper than most ERP sessions. Would that work for you?

@Advocate4OCD&ERP Thank you for the suggestion it’s great but I truly can’t afford that right now. Which isn’t too problematic, I’m very functional with my OCD so I’m waiting till I’m at a more stable part of life to get therapy that isn’t free treatment at college campuses

@RiahL Ok just make sure it’s ERP therapy with a specialist. If it’s not, and this isn’t to scare you, the person could make you MUCH worse. Investing in ERP in any capacity is a life changing investment for someone with OCD. I’m telling you this from personal experience (saw 5 therapists who were awful and made me worse before getting diagnosed with OCD and given ERP)
