Perfectly understandable for you to be feeling like this. One thing I know from experiencing OCD is that obsessions can be very personalised, therefore feeling like no one understands is something that we all understand. The feeling of going crazy and having someone controlling you as if you are a puppet are honestly what I feel like all the time, so remember that you’re never alone. I think that posting this even though you feel embarrassed shows how strong you are already! I may not have good advice but I do know that sometimes you have to go through things that you don’t want to do to get to the place you want to be. Wish you the best!

I forgot to mention this story. I went to my bank to talk to the banker about something, as he pulled up my profile he saw I had crazy amount of closed accounts he was shocked. I had no words to explain. I left embarrassed.

Best way to get better is to see an ERP therapist. Check out the one in the app inside the therapist section. Only 25 bucks a session, since NOCD is doing therapy for health plans and is adjusting price initially

I thought about going to therapist but I just dont know to explain this to anyone in person I feel really embarrassed.

It’s very natural to feel embarrassed about OCD. Trust me, that’s exactly how I felt too. Best decision I ever made was seeing an ERP therapist because they specialize in hearing all the jacked up thoughts and helping you manage them. Nothing you could tell them is new, trust me.
