I'm thankful you commented, it's a very strange feeling. It comes out of nowhere, and it does go away but once its here I start exploring the feeling and then all the old intrusive most upsetting/disturbing thoughts start coming to mind. But if someone was to come up to me and ask "what's wrong?" I wont really be able to explain it, like sure I could tell them the intrusive thought that I'm experiencing but the sad feeling came first and I wouldn't be able to exactly pin point why I'm feeling like that. It's a really weird sinking feeling. :(

I feel like this is common for me. I will feel a pang of anxiety and then almost manufacture a thought to go with it

This is one of those times where my mind is blown that random people on the internet experience the things I thought I was totally alone in ?

@Sunrise22 "Manufacture" is the perfect term to describe it lmao that's EXACTLY what happens to me. It's like I'll feel that feeling and then "oh yes, remember last year when...WHAT IF?" -_-

I think it’s because the brain is always searching for answers to things

And sometimes the answer is...I have a biochemical imbalance in my brain ?

100% agree with everything said here!! I have often told my therapist i dont know what comes first the feelings or the thoughts sometimes. I think its still ocd useing our feelings against us to start ruminating because it knows we assiciate those feeling with those thoughts. So i think we just sit with the intrusive feelings and not attribute any reason to them.

Yeah. Thoughts, feelings, and behaviors can link in any order

But do you know what I mean? Like it doesn't make sense outside of my head but inside my head it keeps giving me a bad/anxious/sad feeling. But I dont fully understand my intrusive thought.

Yup. I get that exact same sinking feeling multiple times a day for no obvious reason

I don’t fully understand this feeling either but I’m really glad you posted about it, because I hadn’t really seen other people talk about it

@MJocd When I get it it only goes away if I can fully focus on something completely different which can be hard. I hate it because I know rationally that nothing is actually wrong when I get that feeling but I feel like I have to pick SOMETHING to explain it and it’s usually an OCD theme

Holy shit. I couldnt have said it better myself. Ive been looking for tge right words to explain this. Thank you for sharing! :)

Yeah I think it’s OCD mixed with depression and a mood disorder cuz that’s what I have. And I feel the exact same way multiple times a day.
