@Dre249 If she says yes, you’ll end up in a spiral. If she says no, you’ll be fine for a bit until you end up questioning again. You’re seeking reassurance

Are you asking for purposes of reassurance?

Yeah this is reassurance seeking

Listen, I know it feels you HAVE to know and HAVE to have certainty, but it's a trap. You'll only be free when you stop looking for answers, because you're never gonna find them.

I just want the difference with being suppressed bi and HOCD like I do t fucking know and I don’t know what I am anymore

@Dre249 You won't get the certainty you want. Not with this disease. Any answers you get won't be good enough for it. To get better, you have to give up on having to know. Trust me. It's the hardest thing in the world, but when you stop looking for answers, you slowly start to recover.

@Dre249 You won't get better immediately, you'll struggle. But you have to fight it, you can't give in to it. You can't give in to it's demands. It's ordering you around and telling you that you need to know this... you need to find out that... but you don't need to do anything it says. It's just gonna keep taking more and more and more from you. You're a very strong person to have dealt with this, and I know you're very scared and uncertain right now, but I believe in you. I believe you can get through this.

@Dre249 And you're still kicking! You're incredibly tough. I understand what it's like to go through this... I've had OCD and similar obsessions since I was 4 years old. I'm twenty now, I've been through the gamut obsession wise. So believe me when I say it does get better if you fight it. Do you have a therapist or psychiatrist that you're currently seeing? If so, do they have you on a treatment plan for OCD? It's incredibly helpful to deal with this under the supervision of a professional. Although it's very scary to start seeing one, it took me a long time myself.

@zomboney It’s not scary I just feel like I don’t need one and I’ve seen people that say there not educated enough of HOCD

@Dre249 Your concerns are totally valid. Honestly... a lot of professionals don't know about sexual orientation OCD. But that's because they're general practice. Specialized OCD therapists deal with sexual orientation OCD all the time. Getting in with someone who specializes would help you immensely. And you do deserve help. This has been plauging you for 9 whole months. That's "bad enough". If you feel like you can handle it on your own, I get that. I discontinued therapy after I felt like I was recovered enough. But in most cases, OCD needs some level of treatment from a professional, for some amount of time. It's not something you can usually go alone, and that's okay. But your decision is your own. Just consider it if you really feel like it's starting to run your life.

@zomboney Does me having like no friends and being bored all the time make it worse (moves to a different country 3 years ago) and ever since I’ve been not the best

@Dre249 Definitely. Isolation causes OCD to get way worse, as well as life stressors like moving.
