Hmmmm....i need some time to think this through. Maybe the techniques used in BRainlock could be used as an adjunct to ERP???? I dont want to dismiss exposure response as i think it is the recommended and proven technique for Ocd. Maybe the book could be used for other types of anxiety disorders. Not sure.

You have offered a lot of insight. I have been very strict with my therapy with respect to a right way or wrong way. Chatting with you i realize i can ease up a bit and in doing so i will b more flexible with my therapy. I thank u for that.

I actually got recommended by my doctor to buy this book - and I did. I have yet to keep reading it as I have only read a few pages, but I did read something about the technique you are referring too.

I started reading this book as well. It talks about neuroplasticity which basically means rewiring your brain. There have been studies done that show this can work for 'sticky' thoughts. I would definitely mention it to your therapist to see if it can work in conjunction with ERP.
