Yeah, I’ve thought about that. But I also don’t think this therapist will be the right fit for me either and that’s not helping

I know sometimes I do, but I’m really trying to avoid it. Because I know it won’t help me. I just don’t think she’s the right fit for me. I could tell from the start. Maybe I’m not explaining myself well enough, but yesterday, I told her that I have intrusive thoughts and then she suggested replacing the thought with “better” thoughts, or confiding in someone or avoiding triggers. All those things seem so unhelpful from what I’ve known about this.

@Greenwhale That’s what I was trying to tell her. And I told her that I just try to accept the possibility of “being a psychopath” because that’s the topic we were taking about and she said “but you’re not a psychopath” lol

@Greenwhale I really feel comfortable, I just don’t feel like she even understands what I’m trying to say

Both helpful comments. I’m going to continue going for a few more sessions. She def isn’t an ocd specialist at all

@Greenwhale I’ll try. I live in desolate wisco so it’s hard to find help
