Hey guys. Get out of the doom and gloom. Time to pick yourselfs up and start focusing on all the good in your life. Ya OCD freaking sucks and can be completely debilitating, I get it ! Been going down the rabbit hole for years and still have doubt weather or not I’ll ever get better. First and foremost you need to accept that a portion of your brains wether you like it or not is broken and that section of the mind that is responsible for OCD will be with us forever. The more your try fight the more you feel like you will never recover. Recovery is also knowing how to tolerate a particular level of OCD for as long as you live. You have all put a meaning to your intrusive self doubting thoughts thousands of times and those thoughts will likely never completely disappear. The power people get back is when your able to call upon your anxiety. Challenge your depressed mind. I grantee all of you have amazing qualities. There is a good chance your all very analytical and sensitive. You wouldn’t have an anxiety disorder if you weren’t. ERP which I’m sure you are all aware of challenges your every thought. Call upon your fears when your having a good day. Ask for more tell your anxiety to give you more!! We all don’t want to live with this forever but I’ve been doing this long enough and know that the individuals we all read about that have recovered are the ones who make a declaration to put 100% commitment on changing their minds to think and react a different way. I struggle with rumination almost all day everyday for as long as I can remember. I doubt myself and there are days when I’m tired or not feeling well that I swear I should be locked up in a mental institution!! Then I have days where I wake up go jogging. Write goals. Meditate the best I can. I try eliminating all the self doubting negative self talk that smacks in in the face all day and I know deep down that I’m Here to stay. I have such amazing qualities that the average person does not and I’m sure all you Guys do to. Don’t take this wrong but get off the pitty potty make a declaration to change your life and work on it every second of every day of every year for the rest of your life. Have no mercy and when ocd hits you like a fucking brick recognize it as what it is !! It’s just OCD. Thoughts are only thoughts. OCD is not a death sentence it’s something that 1-40 people suffer from and those numbers are probably low based on the amount of people that are probably in denial about themselves and current states of mind. Also be open to everyone in your life about what you got. If there not going to ride the waves with you then get them out of your life. OCD has no time or patience for anyone who does not understand and cannot be empathetic and compassionate to who you are. Design a plan. Write goals and stick with it!! Good luck, and pure O sucks so if you don’t compulse outwardly and are like me you’d never know I suffer everyday of my life. Time to get your lives back. Good luck

I am feeling the same way right now. All I can do is to pick myself up and try to find the good in things, and to keep going.
