Do not be sorry, you're a part of this community. People hardly can have the same feelings for the whole life, it's a part of your way.

Thanks, and I know. It’s just frustrating that I can’t see an end to this. And it’s frusturating to not know for sure if this is even OCD or not.

Hey there friend!!! Don't give up! Meds can take up to 3 weeks for people to start feeling the effects. I was put on an SSRI (prozac) and I find the first 2 weeks to actually get a lot worse before they start making me feel better unfortunately :( but the bright side is that hopefully after the past 2 weeks things will start to look up again. That being said you should definitely tell your doctor how the medication is affecting you. They will be the best judge of whether or not to stick with it. Best of luck to you man. Meds can be rough but they're worth it in the end :)

Thanks! The tough thing though, is idk if it’s the meds making me feel this way, or if it’s just my anxiety/OCD/paranoia that is. Just struggling a bit, I guess.

@Nick21 Yeah that can be so tough :( you really don't have to feel sorry for posting to this forum when you are feeling this way though, it's what we are here for! I found when I started medication the same thing happened to me... at the beginning I felt so hopeful that maybe taking this pill would feel better, but after about a week this wave of hopelessness and depression hit me like a ton of bricks. Do you mind me asking what you're taking? :) the worst feeling is not knowing why you're feeling a certain way though, and OCD is really good at making you question your thoughts and feelings :(, and bringing up the worst case scenarios of course...

@EMMaaaa I am currently on 25mg Zoloft. And without a doubt. OCD loves to latch onto the worst case scenario and make you ruminate on it until you crazy. Mine is related to a real event, and I feel like I’m losing my mind lol.

@Nick21 Would talking about it help? If so I am here to listen, but if not I totally understand as talking about events like that can be near impossible for some people. And yeah I think if your doctor is treating you for OCD, they will end up increasing your dose from 25mg usually a dose between 50 and 200 is used therapeutically for OCD treatment. You do have to slowly build up to that therapeutic dose which is probably what your doctor is trying to do for you:)

@EMMaaaa Yeah, I figured at the end of the month, I will probably get a higher dose. And thank you so much! And ditto! If you need to talk about your OCD, I’m here to listen as well!
