Harmful thoughts are just that. Thoughts. Take it from someone who has struggled for years and let OCD attack the people that I hold dearest to my heart. OCD makes no sense. In most cases and especially in a pure O case it attaches to the things that you value the most. I thought for 5 years I was going to kill my kids and lunch strangers in the face. Guess what!! Still hadn’t happened. When you let your thoughts be they will let you be and that quote is from someone who has recovered. The fact that you have put a meaning to your sick thoughts and are ever so frustrated with your thoughts is a good indication of nothing more than an anxiety disorder, nothing more nothing less. Here is some tips. I want you to try in times of peace to think about the worst thought that you can. Try and call upon the thought. Bring it in to your life welcome it, let it sit down for dinner. Laugh at it as much as you can and all though harm OCD is not typically a laughing matter it actually is because of the ridiculousness behind it all. Your not going to do what your thinking of doing. I don’t even know you but the simple fact that your on a web page reaching out for suggestions states perfectly clear that you have no intensional motive of your thoughts. ERP is to challenge your thoughts. Make them habitual, think about them until they are boring. Allow them to come in and the most important aspect is to accept. The reason you feel discomfort is because you are not accepting your mind and the more you try fight your head the more it will fight back. Let go!!! Laugh at that shit! If your truly struggling there is s few things I suggest. OCD stories $11 USA per month , start listening to podcasts of tons of people with OCD because it sure helps. Download audibles app and buy OCD panic attacks and related depression. 8 hour listen and once your done you’ll think wow. Maybe my intrusive thoughts are not that bad and at the minimum it will allow you amazing points on how to overcome. Half the book is by the author. Half is by his phycologist!! Great listen. DARE is another great book or audio for anxiety. Anyways ask an ol pro like me anytime you’ll get what you need to hear. I’ve been in this a long time and have partially recovered from over 6 straight years of pure O and pure Hell !!

Benica 312. Are you married? I guess what I’m asking is do you have a man in your life ? Or single mom ? The reason I ask is because I’m curious if you do have a partner in your life does he know the extent of your thoughts and what you go through?
