OCD will wax and wane. During stressful periods it can be more intense. Don’t beat yourself up over things you can’t control. When you hit these lows, use your toolkit for self-care. Good sleep hygiene, relaxation and meditation, nutrition, exercise. If your plane keeps nose diving you have to pull back the controls, level it out and make adjustments. You learn to adapt.

Thank you for the advice. I really appreciate it. I know that I’m improving. Three months ago I was having constant panic attacks and anxiety over everything. The last few weeks (until this one) I’ve been so much calmer and able to sleep well and not let my thoughts control me. It’s just hard when life knocks you back down after you finally feel okay for the first time in months.

I’ve definitely done the no eating for days thing. :( You sound strong though.

Yeah it’s definitely something that’s hit me hard lately. I’m not a small person. I’ve always had an issue with overeating rather than not. In the last few months, there have been multiple times where I haven’t been able to eat for two weeks unless it was just me force feeding myself fruit so I don’t pass out. It’s been a struggle lately.
