Yes i feel so alone too. I mean.. i have my husband with me and he's great.. but the loneliness is probably acutely felt cos of the absence of my friends who used to be my colleagues.. i left the workplace 1+ yr ago.. we made attempts to keep in touch.. but i feel that recently they drifted away from me (maybe cos I'm not working at the same place anymore so not many common topics)? I actually took a break from the workforce and was trying to get back in.. and then there's covid.. it's like.. no friends, no proper structured life and yes there's like 'lockdown'.. sry for ranting and thank you to anyone who bothered reading this.. much appreciated

We stand with you. This is a tough time. Keep pressing on; there are brighter days ahead. Perhaps there is a way you can still stay in touch with people via video chat or phone calls?

I have dealt with loneliness a lot in life so far. Is the quarantine making things harder for you? Do you want to talk about it?

being alone without seeing friends or having a reason to get dressed/get ready is definitely taking a toll.. as well as contamination OCD from the virus going on. it's very difficult to go outside on walks and that type of thing when I'm constantly searching for symptoms. thank you for asking :)

@velouria I completely agree with you. Being this isolated is very tough. It’s like I don’t even have any sort of routine anymore. There’s no structure to my day it’s all just one big blur. Loneliness can take a huge toll on people. But just remember there are better times ahead! Keep pushing through.

@velouria I'm sorry you guys are having such a tough time. This is certainly very challenging. Try creating some sort of structure if you can, a certain time you get up, shower, dress, eat, time to watch TV or read or work on a new project or hobby or something? It is so hard, but try to make the most of this time too if you can. See if there are people you can reach out to, video chat, call or text

@flapjacks I greatly appreciate you both reaching, you both gave such good advice. I hope you both have been having an okay past couple of days despite this all. Yesterday I spent most of my day painting and trying to reach out to old friends which had a very positive impact. Best wishes to you both. :)

Thank you :) probably really my group of friends at ex-workplace still meet regularly during work.. more things to share so they remain close.. it's hard for me to meet them after their work cos most of them have to go back to family (young kids) and now there's covid.. but feel much better after pouring all these out. Thank you for listening ❤️

Thank you for sharing how you feel :). I understand what that is like, watching these other people become close due to circumstances and you're just kind of left there trying to reach out as much as possible. This virus has really taken such a huge toll on everyone, and hopefully once it clears up you and your friends will be able to meet up again. Just so stressful right now. I've followed advice recently given by Praise about getting up at a certain time, planning productive things to do in my day, etc. and I definitely recommend starting to go on walks if you can. It's almost comforting to see the other people out too, and a passing 'hi' every now and then. Makes a whole world of a difference. We're all here for you and to listen, so don't apologize for ranting or anything :). I hope you have a great day today.
