Look up the National Geographic article “The pandemic is giving people vivid, unusual dreams. Here’s why.” A lot of people are experiencing especially intense dreams right now.

With regards to HOCD, one can have a sexual dream that seems to be pleasurable but then causes a lot of distress after the dream is over. Why is this so??

Because you interpret the dream being pleasurable as a problem instead of going "huh, weird dream, oh well" and moving on

@NOCD Advocate - Katie I mean, I remember having a terrifying nightmare once. I woke up sweating, shaking, and utterly terrified... It was about being chased by a large pool tou alligator float. Dreams can mix and match thoughts and feelings even more randomly than real life

I have had wet dreams involving totally nonsexual stuff and objects. Pleasurable at the time sure, kinda wtf afterwards and I haven't wondered for even a minute whether I'm attracted to pool floaties.

What if you are half awake with an "o" in the dream? Technically you are half awake and finish the "o" it feels.
