I'm not exactly diagnosed with paranoia. But my OCD has always come in waves of severity, and when it's bad, I'm certainly paranoid. I'm truly convinced something awful is about to happen immediately, I worry about my Google searches being watched, I get convinced that other people are talking about me all the time, and depending on the theme I can end up thinking I'm going to be arrested if I step outside. Zoloft did help me out from it getting so severe.

Yes that is the same with me, like stuff as you said with google. I am afraid someone is after me and stuff like that.

@Anna:) What's really helped me is saying to myself that if that was true and everything did go horribly wrong, I'd be able to handle it and defend myself and I wouldn't be on my own in doing so. Our brains do tend to catastrophise. But truthfully, dealing with real life scary things might be very stressful, but the very worst doesn't usually happen- and if it does, dealing with that isn't any worse than dealing with OCD all the time. I'd rather suffer less now and accept the potential of bad stuff in the future, than suffering all the time and having the bad stuff convince me that my OCD thoughts are accurate. I imagine only a very small number of my compulsions have ever done anything at all to actually make me safer.

@Anna:) Plus in the meantime, OCD is a great big waste of my life.

@Scoggy I do try and ignore my compulsions but it is very hard and I get very stressed out and not feel wellz

@Anna:) It's pretty difficult huh :( I wonder if you have tried to use the worry-later/worry period method? That's what helps me best to avoid compulsions

@Scoggy I do not think I have ever tried that, I just wish I had friends that can relate too my issues as well. I feel like many of them get annoyed with my problems and some actually do get annoyed with me.

@Anna:) Oh that's unfortunate :( is it because you tend to ask for reassurance?

@Anna:) Or I want them to do a complusion for me, because one of mine is afraid of taking photos, so since I can not delete a photo I would ask them if they deleted the photo multiple times off There phone or Something off there phone that might off triggered my ocd.

@Anna:) Ahh, it's a difficult time when our compulsions affect our relationships. I don't think it's just that they can't relate. To be honest it would probably annoy me too, so I don't think you should isolate and write off your friends, it's better to work on ways to do the compulsions less and get their support in that. Like asking them to refuse to respond to it by deleting photos or repeating that they've deleted something. Them refusing to respond to it when you're acting out on your OCD will help lessen your urges to do so, because your brain will realise that it doesn't result in feeling better.

Zoloft is probably the best for me in terms of anxiety. I have tried fluextine, citroplam and made me worse. I have heard good reviews about anafril I think it’s called. Anyone on Anafril

I am still on Zoloft but now I am also on this other one, so hopefully together it will help me a bit more.
