Luvox was pretty good for me...prolly in the top 3 of the like 9 ssris iv been on lol. It’s also not a serious or dangerous medication she has no reason not to prescribe it...tell her straight up if you won’t I’ll find someone who will...because any pschiatrist would prescribe freakin Luvox in the first session

It's so hard right now because finding new providers would be a challenge because of the pandemic :( I think that is what is making me hesitant to give an ultimatum like that. My insurance changed this year and I am paying over $100/appointment and they are every three weeks because of the dosage increases of the abilify. It's frustrating to be paying out so much just to kill time until I can get something different.

@messengervl My psychiatrist charges for one appointment to prescribe something and increases the dose via email updates from me. She doesn’t charge for each dose increase that’s kinda crazy. Also ur psych she’s willing to prescribe ability a freakin antipsychotic but is hesitant about Luvox? Also from my experiences with my psychiatrist and from research studies online ability is used as an ADD ON for ocd with an antidepressant...not as a mono therapy option...Iv never taken just an antipsychotic alone...

@jett I know. I've researched it a lot and found a few anecdotal examples of people talking about it, but it seems like even with my history of activation/failed therapy with SSRIs, it would make sense to try it with the abilify as an adjunct therapy. I'm hoping it'll be doable at the next appointment, cause even this last increase did absolutely nothing for me and I am starting to notice side effects. Also thank you for replying and letting me vent. It feels good to be able to talk to people who understand.
