I don’t have the answers but I can tell you you’re not alone. I suffer from harm/suicidal and existential OCD and I know EXACTLY how that hopelessness feels. I am CONSTANTLY running into the thought of ‘what’s the point.’ It’s like a mental wall that I hit every time I try to make myself do anything productive. It makes it incredibly difficult to move life forward in any way. Trust me, I know. I also know how REAL it all feels but try to understand that that’s why it becomes an obsession. Because it feels real. Otherwise we wouldn’t care, right? Keep hanging on! I’m looking into ERP. I hope you do as well. Stay strong, take this one day at a time. One minute if you have to. You’re not alone!

Hi, first of all, I’d like to thank you for reaching out. It seems like you’re going through exactly what I’m going through and it’s definitely reassuring to know that. You’re right about everything though, I’ll try to keep these things in mind when I’m attacked with these terrible thoughts. Are you going to do ERP with a therapist or alone?

@ItsOmar No problem. It has a really crappy way of making this your WHOLE world, so I feel for anyone else going through it. I was set to do ERP with my therapist before this virus hit. I don’t have much money so I’ll be looking into how to do it on my own. Are you seeing a therapist?

@smal86 I was but I’m also struggling with money so I’m probably going to do it alone for now. I’m just afraid of doing it alone.
