This is a tricky combination. I hope you've felt safe enough to share all this information with your therapist. I'm curious whether you have other "just right" symptoms aside from self harm

Unfortunately I don't have a therapist at the moment - I was discharged from CAMHs when I turned 18 and am now on a waiting list for CBT with my local adult mental health services. I have a lot of other "just right" symptoms - most of the time it's just more mundane things like shutting doors with a "good" amount of pressure that is symmetrical on both hands, repeatedly turning off light switches until it feels "just right", and sometimes physical tics like shaking my head or tapping surfaces until my body feels right.

@alicelxvxll I see. Have you had any success, no matter how big or small, resisting those mundane just right comoulsions?

@NOCD Advocate - Katie Sometimes - often if I'm around other people it's easier to resist them because these compulsions are embarrassing but most of them time when I'm by myself I do them 'just in case'.
