Something triggered my anxiety. I did the breathing and for some reason I was having a hard time with this. Even doing something else to take my mind off of it and stop ruminating didn't work. I passed out from exhaustion. Woke up and my anxiety just picked up where it left off. I've tried mindfulness and grounding. What do you do that helps when this happens?

Thank you ❤ I have a really bad chexking compulsions and I really want to check. I'm telling myself no because I need to get better because animals need me to rescue them and usually I'll just feel my heartbreaking slower and feel okay but right now I'm feeling this dull pain in my pitless tummy.

@Bisho ? yess!!! I used to rescue, volunteer but now I'm homebound I'm an advocate and spreading awareness, sign petitions and donate when I can. It's my life's purpose. E I just finished writing a children's book about taking care and loving animals. They are innocent and they need to be loved and protected. I'm so happy you love animals and cats. Have you heard of a cat names willow in the UK? It's such a cute story. Willow, I think she's a Norwegian forest , brings beautiful pink flowers from her owner's garden as a gift to her neighbor . it's such a cute story!

@Bisho I really love cartoons and anime, beside animals I love alot of things I guess XD there is much more of what I love Just the look at details of water, fur, and other things so closely in slowmotion is just amazing and special

@Bisho I have that checking too but I'm mostly checking for micro SD cards that have embarassing photos/videos of me doing compulsions so I can function. I'm scared of losing and droping things, making mistakes and forgetting things. And this is all because I adopted terrible coping skills due to untreated PTSD and OCD and other diagnoses I was given.

@Crazy.Cat.Lady I'm scared someone will find it a and upload and I'll be publicly humiliated and shamed without anyone understanding why. I'll be labeled crazy and ruin my life as soon as I stop checking. It's catch 22. I'm so scared of malicious people out there which is why it makes me love animals that much more because they dobt such thibgs to hurt others to make themselves feel better. You know? But I'm so scared. I couldn't function. I feel things are all over me I'm just a mess. :(

@Crazy.Cat.Lady Hmmmm, I think possibilities of that are just little I do have such thoughts so I hide my phone under something or cover the camera when I change my clothes, worried if someone is hacking my device I think it is a normal worry for my case Idk what SD card is, but keep it in its place u know? Or keep it in a place that you always put it back in, like a home for it or something

@Bisho yes a lot of people have told me. The sd cards are small cards that you insert into phones or tablets for extra storage. When I started this I couldn't erase because I had to look back at them. Now it's haunting me. I don't even remember how many I've made. The fear I have is called revenge porn aka non consensual pornography. I've contacted support groups, lawyers and techies about this because victims say they experience PTSD and some claimed their lives. I've had my phone stolen and police didn't do anything because I didn't have a proof that a cab driver took it despite there's no other person since I was going from point a to point b and it disappeared at point b. I'm scared of people. I really am. And having faced assaults and near death exasperates this
