I took LSD several times after my diagnosis. It induced a month long mania each time followed by a stronger relapse of depression and OCD behavior. I thought the LSD had helped me “heal” when really it was causing manic symptoms. Also, unless you are an advanced chemist, you will not be able to know if it is a research chemical or derivative, which is usually is. Never under any circumstance would I recommend use of LSD to anyone, especially those with OCD. I have had positive experiences (both during and post) with Psylocybin but would still not condone it. Your brain is already experiencing problems and there is no need to exacerbate it with a psychedelic Hail Mary, if that comparison makes sense. Best wishes to you, Jim

A reagent test can distinguish LSD from common dupes or research chemicals. There's no such thing as an LSD "derivative", and if by that you mean analogues like 1p-lsd, their effects in the human body are analogous to LSD, hence the name. Ingested, they're identical in terms of their effects in humans.

Mushroom trips and microdoses of LSD analogue both reduce my OCD in the medium term.

Yea I think everyone reacts to lsd differently. I have the skills to react to ocd and it’s quite weak. When I have a good trip I barley even notice the ocd because I’m not afraid of my thoughts anymore.

@Cameron.harris0803 I haven't actually ever had a full LSD trip I don't think. But mushrooms never had me going in unhappy thought loops, which I understand can be common for LSD even in people without OCD. Mushroom trips initially taught me how to let go actually, as resisting a trip would make it unpleasant. The letting go is a skill I apply to intrusive thoughts and urges to do compulsions, mine is usually weak too. It's weird, I'm now struggling with a new take on an old theme after several months pretty much compulsion free. When it's bad it's bad, but that usually doesn't last more than a week. It's the lessons from psychedelics which has helped my OCD as much as anything chemical about them. I've had quite a look into the science behind microdosing mind you, and it looks like LSD disrupts your use of the default mode network in your brain, and that's precisely where people with OCD or anxiety live. When I microdose, I couldn't ruminate even if I wanted to. My OCD is Gone. 2 doses of less than 10ug per week, not even enough to be detectible in urine let alone make me trip, and not only are my intrusive thoughts gone but I have a deep sense of choice about whether to take any thought or concern seriously or direct my attention elsewhere. They need to get on with the studies, it's a damn miracle. I was speaking on Facebook a while back with a psychiatrist who has OCD himself who says he expects the microdosing studies to blow SSRIs out of the water.

Yea I’ve tried them. Depends on person ig but mine is pretty mild so I didn’t really focus at all on my ocd.
