I have a question. How are you guys been feeling with whats happening in the united states? I have been very very sad, i ve been crying a lot and i feel powerless. I am fr Mexico and there are things i think i can do to help (like open up conversarion groups with friends about the racism Mexico has) but i am afraid of people’s responds. I dont like to read negative comments they really affect me even though i don’t want them to.

I think very very sad is exactly how a lot of people in the US are feeling also. I'm from Houston where George Floyd grew up and we had 60,000 peaceful protestors today. People are downright upset and the fact that this is STILL going on. The President is not doing enough to bring the country together. As a white privileged female, I plan to do my part to speak out, listen, and learn.

Yes, we are feeling sad here as well. I keep telling myself that the most important things I can do is what I already do: love others, act in kindness (including towards those who don’t agree with me), speak up for what’s right, and vote those into office who will help facilitate change.

Creo que hay tanta misinformación que es difícil saber realmente lo que está pasando. Un mintuto, estamos en lockdown a causa del virus y el próximo ya hay disturbios violentos. No tiene ningún grano de sentido. El otro problema es que el policiaco que comitió el crimen ya fue arrestado y cargado con homicidio. En este caso, la ley hizo su trabajo, pero no es suficiente por los activistas. Si ves realmente el problema, es que ningún sentido de "justicia" es suficiente por los que siguen con los disturbios. Realmente, los disturbios están dañando a más gente de color que otros grupos. Es una solución que está dañando más que está ayudando. Sí, todavía hay problemas con el racismo en los EEUU, pero ¿al degrado que claman la gente que está participando en los disturbios? No. En menos que una semana, el policiaco fue arrestado y cargado con su crimen, pero nadie quiere enforcar en lo que hemos hecho para corregir la situación y ya se han puesto mucha gente inocente en peligro. Realmente, toda esta situación es un evento gigantesco de "señalización de la virtud" más que nada.
