I've been sober 3.5 years now. Before then I was unkind and hurt a lot of people based on personal attacks because I was very hurt. I remember sending a guy a racially insensitive text message and have been obsessing over that the past few days. A girl I dated accused me of giving her herpes and the results came back negative but I still obsess that I have it and have given it to other people although there is no evidence of that. These thoughts are extremely distressing. Anybody else going through something similar?

I'm currently trying to get sober, I struggle with alcohol and have hurt a lot of people myself. I think we have to accept the past for what it is

I feel as tho life feels very boring and mundane sober , do u have any suggestions on That?

I've literally tried quitting like 10 times myself. I have no self control it sucks when I'm bored or lonely or depressed or anxious I just run out and drink. What was your drink of choice and what kind of OCD did u suffer from ? I know at this rate I'll never have a meaningful life.

I said something racially insensitive to a nurse in the e r but I apologized and she forgave me. It’s the ocd talking and the fear. It’s okay, it really it.

I can relate the cocaine definitely didn't help I totally quit that but right now alcohol seems to help. It's the only thing on my mind. Did u ever feel like u wouldn't be able to quit? When I went to rehab they really didn't help me with my HOCD, in fact my therapist never even heard of it.

I can relate 100 percent. Beer is my only escape too. Id rather drink than take my medicine. It sucks too because I'm a good looking guy too but suffer with HOCD and alcohol is the only thing that makes me feel comfortable around women.
