I tried sharing it with my parents but I don't think they understand..I can only go meet a therapist when I start earning which is what I am trying to do asap..I have been doing better than how I was before though with the help of meditation and with the support of my best friend..

Are you familiar with mindfulness? Ever heard of the "leaves on a stream" metaphor? If you imagine fall leaves floating down a stream in their different fall colors. There might be orange ones, red ones, yellow ones, etc. Then imagine occasionally seeing empty beer and soda cans, candy wrappers, etc. also floating downstream. I view the trash just like intrusive thoughts. Each of us has a choice about whether or not to reach into the water and pull out one of the pieces of trash. But, the healthier approach is to acknowledge the existence of the trash (I see it in the water) but, then, let it float on downstream without trying to figure anything out about it (the rumination part).

I was seeking for assurance today if it's what happen to others as well and if I have a lesbian/half side smile.. Does that make me a lesbian?

Hey, I wanted to respond to this because I totally used to deal with thoughts like this all the time! I’m not sure if this helps or not, but one thing you can remember is that everyone perceives everything differently, so one person’s idea of a “lesbian smile” could be totally different than another person’s. It absolutely doesn’t mean you’re a lesbian if you smile a certain way. And even more importantly, people don’t care how you smile. 99% of the time, people aren’t thinking about you anyway. Think about it— if you take a picture with a group, everyone who looks at the picture automatically looks at themselves first. I hope that helps a little bit!

ERP would be to build up to intentionally doing a lesbian half smile (though honestly I've got no clue what that even means)

Maybe even write an imaginal script about what a worst case scenario would look like if others thought she had a lesbian smile and concluded that she is a lesbian.

Thankyou for all of your responses.. I will try not to think about it

Sadly, I don't think that will result in a long-term positive outcome. Nonetheless, all the best to you!
