@pingu111 @pingu111 I understand. But, strong romantic relationships are built on a foundation of honesty. While he might be a little disappointed initially (and he also may not be disappointed at all), the both of you will feel better knowing that you trusted and respected him enough to be honest about the situation. If that ends the relationship, then you will have learned something for your next relationship. This is not a small fib (e.g., saying that you like his shirt when you really hate it). This is more consequential IMO.

@Fear Strikes Out I don't thing it's a big lie either like I'm not hurting him in any way and i didn't say it to lie to him .. i felt that i was the assistant director since my boss was calling me his assistant and I'm not just an assistant that makes coffee and books meetings, i do part of the director's work. That why i said that. And now I'm not sure if the director refers to me as an assistant director or the director's assistant when he refers to me as his assistant.. that's why i feel like i lied

@pingu111 You do realize that all of this ruminating with all of the mental contortions and rationalizing is OCD, right? So, you can either choose to let it go or share what you actually do at work with your boyfriend and let him judge whether he feels misled by you or not. Some may consider the latter as compulsing but I personally do not.

@Fear Strikes Out I'll think I'll find a way how to tell him.. but i told his uncle as well and i almost never see his uncle and i only saw him once and don't have any confidence with him. I don't know how i can tell his uncle without looking awkward since I don't know him that well..
