I would reframe the question. Instead of "is this thought OCD?", ask yourself "am I responding to this thought in an OCD way?". Thoughts are thoughts are thoughts. They aren't the problem. OCD is a disorder of how we respond to to thoughts

So if I have these selfharm thoughts, what I don't like, than that's not OCD, that is me? I thought that OCD makes that thoughts a big deal, and i'm not responsible for that, but than it's my problem if i have these thoughts? Like I sad many times that i would not harm myself, but my mind always give me imaginations there is a moment when i feel like i do not control myself, but it's just a feeling, it passes so quickly, but during i have very bad anxiety... I'm affraid that i have a bad mental illness, and that these thoughts are real and dangerous... hope it's isn't the case. Thank you for replying, have a nice day! :)

@arnoldolasz If you have thoughts of harming yourself, and then DO hurt yourself, you have a self harm problem. If you have a thought of hurting yourself, and respond by only eating with plastic spoons, you have an OCD problem. If you have a thought of hurting yourself and go "woah, weird thought. That watermelon looks delicious" and cut up the watermelon, you don't have a problem at all (at least not related to the thought of harming yourself)

No i have these "i will harm myself"(which i dont want and i never will) and i become anxious and maybe a little panick attack comes, because im affraid that i will say, okay im done... and than act what the thought say. My compulsion is never was like that what you mentioned, me compulsion is reassurance... and i didn't knew that that was compulsion until last week... i always searched about videos to make me safe, and i always asked others to say to me that im not in danger. So yeah, i think it's OCD but it's the wors one... but i hope i will beat this, and than i can help people who are in the same boat as i am right now.

It doesn't matter what the exact compulsion or thought is. The same principles apply
