i've been there. i know how you feel and when i was at that point the last thing i wanted to hear was that it got better because it made me feel like they didn't understand what i was going through. but, as someone who struggles w ocd, i promise you that it does get better and that there is a bright and beautiful life for ppl w ocd and other mental illnesses, it still exists for us. take care of yourself now, sleep when you need, eat when you're hungry, get dressed, get showered, if you're going to fight this fight you gotta give yourself a running start. i'm always here just to listen to whatever's going on in your life :)❤️

Thank you so much for that. I really appreciate it. I just stay in bed all day long because my thoughts are so overwhelming. I’m glad you’re in a good space . How did u get out of that terrible place you were once at?

I'm currently dealing with joint depression and OCD issues, what's helped me the most is forcing myself to do something, even if it's just a tiny thing, like eating some toast, try and do a little more each day and you may find yourself having moments where you feel better. If you keep at it maybe feeling good will be the regular state and feeling empty will only be moments.

believe it or not, my third (and most serious) suicide attempt is what forced me to get the help i needed. my advice is to just take that leap to get help. tell your therapist straight up that you're suicidal and you need help. tell your psychiatrist that the meds aren't working and you want to try something else. tell people you love and are close w so they can support you. i didn't want to let my parents in on how much i was struggling for the longest time and i almost died because of it. it's never as bad as you expect it to be. sometimes the things we fear the most are the ones that will help us grow.

@dietcoke oh, and don't be afraid to call a hotline. i was always terrified that they'd call the cops on me bc i've heard horror stories. but sometimes saying it aloud to a person you don't know and is there to just listen is the most freeing. and the operator will usually say something that you never even knew you needed to hear.

Hey I’m so sorry you are feeling this way! If you need to call a hotline please do. Google is a good way to find ones for your area. Do you have a therapist? If not I would highly suggest finding one, and if you do have one I’d highly suggest bringing up these thoughts with them.

It takes time and effort, but stick with it, do what you can and keep fighting. I agree with what others have said—make sure you are taking care of your needs, find little things to do each day. For me reaching out to friends really helped. I would also paint or do art to distract myself from my thoughts. You can find whatever works for you, try things out! Also therapy and medication were a huge help.

I’m going to second what dietcoke said. The more open and honest you are with the people trying to help you, the better they can help.
