I understand how you feel. All the time! That is probably OCD if it makes you anxious

Nope and when I ask for help on this app no one will answer me properly which results in even more overthinking

Definitely hard to navigate this topic. Might be “reassurance” and sometimes it’s just hard to give a definitive answer to others situations

@Jack-005 Then how do you ever learn? Because if we COULD tell we wouldn’t have the problem in the first place! I think sometimes SOME reassurance is necessary

@uwotm8 Fair point! I keep a list and when they come up I right them down and try to leave it alone until I go to counseling then see what my counselor thinks. I’ll try and be on the app more to help you out haha!

@Jack-005 That’s a good idea ? I actually stopped using this app for a few months because I felt like there was no point as no one was really saying anything , just refusing to answer out of “no reassurance” I’m just feeling low as hell the last 3 weeks and I feel like I’m about to snap so I’m venting here again cuz who the fuck knows anymore!!

@uwotm8 Do you feel as if the pandemic and having to be more isolated has impacted your mental health a lot??

@uwotm8 Gotcha. That sucks. The isolation definitely has been playing a role for a lot of us ?

@Jack-005 Well, to be honest the pandemic didn’t bother me too much. I was living with my partner as his place, and he was going into shops for me to avoid ocd spikes. We were planning on living together officially too. But then he developed a drinking problem as a result of grief, his mother became ill with cancer and the pandemic affected him and started hiding whiskey, but it caused him to call me names and throw me out so I left for space (he’s doing really well now and getting help) but now I’m alone in my apartment I’m going fucking insane now I have no voice of reason just me and my stupid brain

@Jack-005 Sorry I deleted my first comment to add more of an explanation

@uwotm8 It makes it really hard to be grounded in reality. Last weekend I left my apartment a couple days in a row and it’s amazing how different I felt. It’s like I exited my head haha

@Jack-005 I feel the opposite, when I was at my partner’s I felt more stable (until shit hit the fan) but when I’m alone I feel more uncomfortable and less myself because I have more time to focus on stuff that I hate or things that could go wrong in the future

@uwotm8 Yeah that’s what I’m saying. I went to a restaurant and hung out with a buddy and felt so much better cause I was able to live outside of my brain for a bit

@Jack-005 Ohhh yeah sorry I misread your other comment! Yeah I would love that but nothing is open here still and none of my friends are that talkative any more because they also feel low I think

@uwotm8 This pandemic has been really hellish for the mental health community

@Jack-005 It absolutely has. My boyfriend was the one that shocked me with his drinking I’ve never seen anything like it before this. It’s triggered my ocd and fear of abandonment now too because during his episodes, he would throw me out multiple times- for no reason either...I’ve already been experience sudden abandonment before him too, where I had no warning after ten years with one guy who did exactly that, so it’s torturing me. I was crying for hours earlier at “what if he REALLY leaves me one day with no real reason or warning?” Nightmare, except awake.
