Ruminate about old conversations and what they meant or how they hurt me / memory checking / body checking / asking for reassurance and constantly asking the same questions over and over again / googling reassurance

I am the exact same. I’m trying to figure out how to use this app for the compulsions/ exposure. What do you do? Just sit with it? Go x amount of time without googling?

Anyone else say “Sorry” all the time?! Like for mundane things?

I used to. Working on your mindset and self esteem helps with some symptoms of ocd

I struggle with my past mistakes a lot and ruminate on them. I typically will do mental review, which is replaying the past event in my mind over and over again, Googling “Am I a bad person?” Or related questions about morality and not caring what others think, and I will seek reassurance on Reddit (THE WORST!), how about you?

@TCVM6 Thanks :) I'm just so tired of it . I feel like OCD takes my happiness away . And I miss myself before OCD.

Checking feelings is a big one for me. Self-reassurance, googling, rumination, questioning my thoughts which leads deeper into the rabbit hole, for physical i keep my closets closed due to my suicidal OCD. Avoid keeping scissors and cables and certain articles of clothing out, so definitely avoidance

Today I had thoughts like : is this filter on Instagram real or no? Like I thought I posted selfie with filter on my story but only I saw this filter . I know it sounds stupid but I asked my mom and she saw the filter. It's like when I dont talk about my intrusive thoughts then they seem real and I feel crazy.

@JS?? It was like I was using insta filters for fun, then a memory from X years ago appeared in my head about snapchat - when snapchat was quite new and filters weren't advanced like now I did a video of something with filter and posted it on snapchat mystory and then I checked on mystory there was my video but without that filter I used while i was creating that snap video. So today my brain was like : " this filter is so cool I'm gonna post a selfie" , then " remember when you posted a video without filter ? Haha so embarrassing it was without filter", then " what if I posted selfie without filter " " what if only I see this filter", " what if I'm crazy" then I ask my mom
