My husband had presumptive covid in april. He wasnt able to he tested but we think that was likely it. He got very sick after picking up supplies and a man was coughing up a storm. This was also at the height of the pandemic when we had nearly a thousand cases a day and testing wasnt even widely available. I believe its what's truly triggered my co termination ocd because we were doing EVERYTHING possible to stay safe except masks were not yet recommended. Anyway, he is a healthy 33 year old man and did not get respiratory symptoms. Just had a hideous fever, like border line calling an ambulance for four days straight. We were instructed to call am ambulance if it reached 40.0 degrees celsius. He sat at 39.9 for four days. He was incredibly dizzy, very easily confused, exhausted and lots of aches and pains and headache. As someone with contamination ocd, I got for covid tests alot. And I realize I shouldnt but am unwilling to risk it. However I always wait a day or so before going for a test if I have congestion or digestive problems. His escalated very quickly. He started feeling light headed around 3 pm the day we isolated him. By 6pm his cheeks were red and he looked visibly ill (pale, dark circles under his eyes). It was very obvious. I would say give it a day. I always wait to see if my symptoms get better or worse. More often than not, they are better the next day, or at least not worse and it turns out I am fine. I've had a few tests more so with digestive problems. Usually a gastro issue does get worse because it kind of has to run its course so I wind up going if I have diarhea or am nauseated just to be sure. I want to also give some hope here that although my husband got sick and we were sleeping in the same bed up until the day he got sick, I did not. Or I must have had it so mild, I didnt really give it much thought. I had digestive issues and a scratchy throat but never any pains or fever so i believe i did not get sick. I think that's hopeful.

Here’s a tip that my mom makes me do. Boil some water then put Vick’s in it. Take a blanket to cover yourself over the pot and breathe in and out through your nose and mouth. It helps to clear your throat and nose. I’ve been doing to for 3 months now and I haven’t been sick. You can also use ginger, pineapples, and lemon.

Do it for about a minute every day.

Number one thing is a high fever with Covid. Also the cough is not productive in Covid. Be strong! Fight that OCD!

I have been sick in Covid, I'm also allergic. You can try to take your antihistamines di determine if it s the allergy. Dont focus on the Covid, if you get ver sick you will kniw it.

Not to be reassuring but I had the same problem all month and it's just been allergies so more than likely you're fine. I think if you had covid you might notice more symptoms, though I can not say for sure

Do you have the tickle in chest and cough from It? Okay that’s helpful. Thank you. It’s just hard to know when to be on the lookout.
