I'm so sorry you feel so bad. I have been there, it's awful. Do you have any possibilities to reach out for a therapist? Maybe you need some medication? ???

@Nasim Ok, I get you. Is your therapist qualified to treat OCD? Maybe you need another medication?

I recently changed my psychiatrist. He gave me new medicine and told me to visit next month every time. I have visited 3 times till now and my appointment is in a few days. My therapist methode is psychoanalytic psychotherapy. Ive been visiting her about a year now.

Ok, good that you have an appointment in a few days! But thus is not the therapy recommended for OCD. It can get worse with that kind of therapy ( I have tried...) and they are often not aware of the danger of giving reassurance. The evidence based form of treatment for OCD is CBT including ERP. Psycodynamic psychotherapy can be very good to other problem s. Maybe you can talk about thus with your therapist.

@Nasim Sounds like you are in good hands by having an OCD therapist, medication, and insight into the obsessions and compulsions.

Have you seen an OCD therapist before?

@Fear Strikes Out Yes for a while i saw someone. But he wasnt a good doctor in my opinion. He promised to cure me in 10 sessions. I dont think anybody can say that for certain. Every session i went there he told me to close my eyes and imagine your fear come true. And he told me to say when the anxity stops. But it didnt most of the times and because i couldn't bear it anymore i lied to him. He didnt let me go until i say it doesn't bother me anymore. And his sessions were insanly expensive.

@Nasim Have you considered an NOCD therapist to work specifically with your OCD. You can still keep the psychoanalytic therapist to help work through issues from the anal or phallic, etc., stages of development. ?

Nasim, I feel your pain. It's really awful I know. I have this too and it makes me really depressed and suicidal. I don't know what to suggest except to say that you are not alone and we can get through this xxx

I totally understand where you're coming from. Ive been doing better over the last 24hrs but these thoughts have made me wonder if dying is better, but then I don't wanna give my son the pain of growing up without a mother. Then ocd tells me I need to cut my hands off. Its a horrible illness

You know. Imagine a physical pain like the pain of having a terrible wound. The mental pain is as hurtful as that just it cant be seen.

How is OCD contributing to it? Sounds awful!
