Great attitude. Good for you for doing the hard stuff, for spending time with your family anyway. That takes guts. You rock. ? I’ve found taking something and having a cleaner diet helped with the obsessive/intrusive thoughts. It’s like it created a buffer between me and the thoughts. They were still there, but it took more effort to ruminate and so gave me the space to say, “Nah. We’ll let that thought float in and out.”

Oh wow that’s awesome! Would you mind going into more detail on what you’ve been taking and what changes you’ve done with your diet?

@Evelyn4416 St Johns Wort, actually! Tried a med. It felt not great lol. Trying to cut out processed foods and eat whole foods. Lots of fruit, veggies, clean meat, and nuts. Cut out most sugar and gluten.

@Alyosha But you could try a med! Some people handle the side effects better, or pros outweigh the cons.

@Alyosha Thanks for the info! I’ll have to look into it. And I’ve heard similar things about the diet! I have a addiction to hot Cheetos so that’ll be tough haha

For anxiety look into gaba and or NAC I personally haven’t taken it but I like the research on it. I’ll let you know if I end up taking NAC but I have tried inositol powder and it’s really helped with panic

Haven’t heard of NAC but I’ve been taking GABA and L-Theanine for awhile! They have helped a lot with keeping the physical affects of OCD away, so if I get into that heightened anxiety I can still eat and sleep for the most part without that being taken away from me

@Dess It’s been good! I take 1 capsule twice a day (morning and night) alongside 2 capsules night and day of the l-the anime. I also started taking magnesium glycinate but not as often (mostly because you’re supposed to eat it with food and when I normally take my supplements it’s either the first thing I eat in the morning or right before bed when I had dinner like hours ago haha)
