Opinion, please? Y’all I’m getting really sick of this crap. I finally was getting over my harm OCD and was scrolling through TIKTOK, I’m a huge Disney fan, my room is full of Disney stuff. And anyways, these people have a whole like Disney house and I love it. The comments are HORRIBLE. Along the line is “Disney adults scare me.” And how they’re into kids stuff and what not. And that really triggered me and I’m scared. Like I don’t have POCD, I don’t like kids. I just love Disney but it’s making me super anxious and I just want to take down all my Disney stuff and hide it because people might think I like that kind of inappropriate stuff. I don’t it makes me sick to my stomach. But my ocd is trying to trick me into thinking I am ?. It’s already taken so much from me, I don’t want my love of Disney to be taken away too. I want a kid one day, and I want to raise them to love Disney but what if I’m a bad person. I’m already a shell of who I used to be, and I’m a kid at heart. But like I don’t want to hurt kids, I don’t want people thinking I want to. I’m nauseated writing this. Please help. I know I can’t seek reassurance but just I need to know what to do. Do I hide everything away? Am I a bad person?

I’m 22 and I love Disney so much. I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, do not trust what you hear/read on the internet. They are not experts and any spiteful person can make an account. Try drawing out your thought process here. Sometimes that helps me be like hm, something is up

I’m 24, and Disney has gotten me through a lot of stuff. I think I’m just like hypersensitive right now, it’s weird.

Trust me it’s taken away too much. I dropped out of college, lost my friends, stopped liking Batman bc of the Joker it’s sooo stupid. But I’m going to stand tall, I know I’m not a bad person, I don’t know why I always try to make myself feel like I am. I appreciate it! ? you’ve got a friend in me! As well :)

Disney is for everyone! I have an annual pass and I go with other people my age (20s), so don’t let it get to you! If your OCD is throwing it in your face, just let it float by and don’t acknowledge it. You got this :)

@Evelyn4416 Totally get that! I’ve only been to animal kingdom, magic kingdom, and Hollywood studios but I would love to go to Epcot. I actually watch a YouTube channel that’s only about Disney food

You got through the Harm OCD stuff. This is the same story. Same tools and skills needed. This isn’t a new problem to solve. Same problem, just a few tweaked details. You got this ??

Lots of people love Disney, even as adults. It’s not wrong to like kid things, and appreciate them some kids shows are really well done works of art. I’m guessing those people are a small minority of people. Your allowed to like things.

But I loved the way Toy Story 3 ended. They did something nearly impossible: End a trilogy well. I'm afraid to "ruin" it ☺

Totally get that. I felt the same. But the existential crisis in toy story 4 is so damn deep for a kid’s movie I couldn’t believe it. It’s all about when do we stop fulfilling what we’re supposed to be and it actually really delivers. I wanted to hate it and instead I bawled in my seat.

I still watch Disney movies by myself and cry and I'm 22 years old. I love art and animation, and I think a lot of the old characters are just amazing. The Fox and the Hound are especially awesome.

My aunt is 35 and she LOVES Disney. At the end of the days, it's a minority of people who think like those people on tiktok. Your feelings are valid and we're all here for you
