I used to feel this way as well. Heck I was okay with the idea of prison too ☺.

prison scares me. though i feel as if i would belong there as well. i think it’s the feeling of “being around people like you, or worse than you”.

@MakeAChange In the case of psych wards, yes you can check yourself in. That's what I did 2 years ago. I'm pleased to say my experience was positive. It was a lot like being on this app ☺!

@Ben84 i find it crazy how i got excited at what you said! wow, if you don’t mind me asking, what was the cost? or atleast was it expensive?

@MakeAChange I think after insurance it was still over $2000 for 4 days. Like an ambulance, don't use it if you don't need to, but don't hesitate if you do. Your life is worth more than money ☺!

@Ben84 holy shit! don’t some people actually live there though?

Same until I developed paranoia about the risk of being killed there.

@MakeAChange I'm not sure how that works these days in regard to permanent need of care, tbh

I'd pay a lot to be in a hospital of ERP caretakers for a week or something.

There are intensive programs out there ☺.

I literally fantasize sometimes about having that degree of structure, support and supervision. But the reality is, mental hospitals in most of the world are understaffed and underfunded, they pretty much just feed you, allocate you a bed and make sure you attend group.

this wouldn’t bother me. id feel safe with people who probably go through somewhat of the same thing. is there even a way to check yourself into one of these?

If ut was a beautiful place with amazing caregivers, yes! But I have worked in that kind of place, and no...never. To me it was the most depressive place I have ever seen.

@MakeAChange No, there are exceptions for sure. This is my experience from my country...in Europe.

I wish I lived somewhere with people like me or worse than me. At least I wouldn’t feel like I’m the only one. Haha I’d even go to prison than the life I’m living now. I’d probably be the youngest psychopath there ? 11.

It’s good it started when I was 5. My mom thinks something is wrong with me and she can just pay to “fix” me. My dad avoids me and doesn’t even want to look at me. I’ve had a pretty shity life. God I’d give anything for my parents to look at me with the love they give my brother.

That all sounds exactly like you're the scapegoat, not a psychopath. It's actually really common for internalised shame of being scapegoated by your family to make you numb out and believe you must be a psychopath. Google "toxic shame scapegoat" and "narcissism family dynamics".

I fantasize all the time of being in a psych ward or even a prison, which a lot of the biggest psych wards in america are at prisons. When I was in one, it felt great being there but I'm not sure if that was because of being there or the drugs. Probably the drugs lol.
