@tella4 I'm grateful people responded to this post ☺! I've been fighting off a shame spiral and have been using all my tools to battle it. Expressing gratitude is one of those tools and I thought it would help to hear what other people had to say. So far I was right ☺.

@con Typical ☺. If you dont mind me prying I was curious about how long your family has been in Canada. Have you always lived there? Since your family is Christian did they leave China for religious reasons?

I’m greatful, nervous, and excited to: finish a layout of a project I’ve been working on and post it today. **Technology, please be my friend.** And to broadcast a live gig from my basement this evening, even though my partner and I haven’t played through all the tunes together yet. **Eeep**

Folk music, right? May I ask how old you are?

@Ben84 Actually, the closest we played to folk was folk rock, Simon & Garfunkel. We had some Bowie, Elton John, Smashing Pumpkins, Cyndi Lauper, Duran Duran, ELO, and Ben Folds Five, and some of my partner’s originals. I’m 37.

@ARTnotOCD Sounds like a good time. Earlier in the summer I spent a good deal of time learning misheard Elton John lyrics. I didn't know until 2 months ago that Bennie was a woman ?! You and I are about the same age. Cool ☺.

@Ben84 I had a feeling based on your handle here. ‘84 ? Which generation do you consider yourself? I really identify with the Oregon Trail Generation. Technically, we’re Millennial, but our early childhoods had no cell phones. We didn’t even have internet in our homes, let alone at our figertips until at least elementary school, etc....

@ARTnotOCD The Oregon Trail Generation ?! I haven't heard it put that way. I like it. We are in an odd spot generationaly speaking. I didn't have a computer in my house until the 9th grade.
