This is a famous poem by the author of The Jungle Book. It's directed toward manhood, but can easily be applied to anyone. If this truly happened, I don't know what I'd do. But it would be survivable. https://www.poetryfoundation.org/poems/46473/if---

What do you mean by accepting defeat? I mean who would not give up in a situation like this lol. Sorry am I getting this wrong? :(

haha i mean if you did something so unforgivable, everyone you loved abandoned you. wished you were dead. even people you didn’t know hated you. would you call it quits? or would you rise above and keep living despite the torment?

@MakeAChange Depends how "unforgivable" that action was idk. (Sorry for sounding stupid)

@Crassus1 well no action is actually unforgivable. society just has rules that do not make sense

@MakeAChange Even if that action is torturing and killing 6 million people?

@Crassus1 everyone has a reason for what they do. to put it short, there is no such thing as good and bad or right and wrong. if someone tortured and killed 6 million people, and could live with that feeling.. they obviously have unresolved issues. either from their past or mental sanity. if someone who was seen as medically insane murdered 2 people you knew, would you hate them? or the action and result of the action? and would you blame the person.. or the state of their mental health? their reasoning? take this into consideration. no human is bad or good. there are actions that are seen as right and wrong, but again, this is all made up by society’s standards. if you lived in the wilderness alone, never had parents or friends, you were just someone who grew up in a forest with no knowledge, do you think you would 100% know right from wrong? obviously people have some instincts to what to do in certain situations. like animals. but most of it is built off of what we experience. so yes, in some way, killing and torturing 6 million people is forgivable. depending on the reasoning and logistics behind it. plus, hate to say it, because many people would get upset, but my belief is that life isn’t even real. we don’t exist. so do whatever. you’re going to die anyway. might as well be in the history books right? hope that doesn’t scare you lmao

@MakeAChange No, it doesn't scare me because sometimes I also think like that. But dang, that's the most nihilistic thing I've read on this app so far :3

@Crassus1 haha, really? i sometimes think i’m a nihilist. though, i’m not sure. i just feel as if people take life too seriously.

@MakeAChange You're not sure though... Ofc you're not sure, who is?? ((: Show me one individual here who could state something and be 100%sure about it. Everything is a big, fat variable... No certainity. Oh yeah... Takin life too seriously can consume you. I will never grow up. Never!! I want to be free
