I tried talking to my parents about what I'm dealing with but it went horribly. I don't know what to do at this point they simply don't get it they think it's easy to just stop thinking about everything but I can't I feel worse. I even showed them my research but they said all this was happening because I read to many books or something I'm devastated that things went so badly I really don't know what to do or who to talk to because NO ONE GETS IT my family just can't understand at this point I don't know what to do I'm seriously lost. What would u guys do if u where like me:\????

Everyone has been very supportive and I'm grateful ❤️for that but my parents said I could no longer do research on OCD well if they do find me researching they will be VERY annoyed with me?

Whatever you decide to do remember: There is HOPE. No matter how long it may take or how difficult it is. Never stop ADVOCATING for yourself. Embrace UNCERTAINTY. Maybe your fear is real, maybe it's not. If this is goodbye for now, take care of yourself ☺. I hope to see you on here again someday.

I’m so sorry that happened. I’m glad you were brave enough to try. There are some resources for people who don’t have OCD but have loved ones with it. I’m not sure how helpful that will be if they aren’t interested, maybe give it a little space? Seriously wishing you the best.

Hey kid ☺. Keep fighting. Even though it didn't turn out the way we wanted, you ADVOCATED for yourself. That's impressive at just about any age, even more so at 12. Remember, you have a support group on here. I know you're not in school yet, but when you are consider talking to your counselor. Keep advocating for yourself.

I really would want to talk to a school counselor but I don't have any thing like that at my school I only see them in movies lol and thank u for being so nice :-)

@Ben84 It's all very traditional but this is very embarrassing but I don't understand the language all to well ? so I don't listen to as much music and yes my dad is Nigerian so I simply say that I'm Nigerian and sadly I don't know him

Well it really does make it difficult my parents don't know any therapist whatsoever but they did say something about consulting right now I'm afraid of bringing up coz I just stopped crying):
