I would definitely ride out the feeling! Espically since you don’t want to lose him, I know it seems scary but the more you fight the feeling the less it’ll go away you got this :)

thank you for the advice ): it’s just so hard because i get scared of falling into this and losing him. i never had this issue before and i also think this thought formed because of growing up in a religious household ): it’s terrible but thank you for believing in me. i really don’t want to give up

@getwellsoon aw yeah I get it!! I had the same thoughts since I grew up in a religious household aswell and had a trans best friend, I had tons of panic attacks because of it because I thought I actually thought those stuff so I def know what you’re going through, it’s really hard but you’ll get through this I believe in you!

Hey there! There is a great book I just read called the vanishing half in which a relationship between a trans man and a cis-gendered woman is explored! Highly recommend, it beautifully explored how to be sensitive and the fears surrounding hurting your loved one and their identity. P.s. transphobia is disgusting, sorry about that commenter?

thank you for the recommendation. I think i’ll give it a look. and it is ): even triggered me a bit because i’m scared of becoming intolerant like that. imagine being so stuck in your own ways. the thought breaks my heart and makes me sick

@getwellsoon You know you aren’t though❤️ I get the same fears about betraying my husband or hurting him. We love them and that’s why ocd wants to attack it. Don’t worry. You’re in love and lucky to have found someone. Enjoy it❤️

@wellwellwell i know it’s just hard ): these stupid thoughts keep trying to contradict everything about me ): i know it’s not me because i never had an issue with this before and we’ve been dating for more than 10 months and i know i love him more than anything but at the same time these thoughts make me feel like i should protect him and distance myself it’s hard but i’m trying so hard to act like me )): thank you for your positivity

This is not meant to be insensitive in any way. My question is, can you explain to me in the most simplest manner what the relationships are that you are describing? I just do not follow. I am not even sure what first person was eluding to with their comment. I am truly interested in knowing for my own understanding. Thanks!

A cis gender person is someone who identifies with their biological gender and she said she's cis gender. She's in a relationship with a "female to male" trans person, so the relationship is a guy and a girl together.

@hateocd123 OK. But if the trans person, in this situation, identified as cisgender as well, would the relationship be female to female?

@hateocd123 thank you for explaining it so easily

@Fear Strikes Out I guess if they did identify as female, then yes.

@Fear Strikes Out no he’s ftm... therefore he identifies as male
