I find things that motivate and distract me. I love spending time with friends. It really helps surrounding myself with ppl who love and respect me.

When I am sad I also like to listen to the song "Am I a Man or am I a muppet" from the muppets movie. Its so overly dramatic and sad that I feel like the song understands me. But its so dramatic that it also makes me laugh. I sing that a few times and it helps. Especially with my "people dont like me" thoughts.

Yes, it is difficult to disregard the thoughts. They feel so real, they make you questiom who you are, they make you feel ashamed and guilty. It has definitely made me feel more insecure than what I already was. Ive never heard of that song. I love to listen to "cant take me" from the movie Spirit, Stallion of the Cimarron. Love that movie!

Day by day... (oops now I have Godspell in my head) You posted this while the NE US is in a bit of a storm with trees down all over and power outages everywhere. I have a feeling lots of us here will be taking it hour by hour right now. ? Day by day is a great way to move through. Remember, the pace you move through tough stuff isn’t important. Ultimately moving forward is all that’s important. And by that, moving 1 step back and 2 steps forward is forward. Heck, moving 300 steps back and one step forward means you’re still climbing out of the OCD (or any other) hole. Good luck! ?

Same here. Im just tired, Im numb most of the time, which then makes me feel anxious that Im not feeling much of anything. Just empty inside.

What is making you tired? Or just overall life? Yeah. That is really scary! That is a totally valid feeling. Do you need to feel something? I know it feels terrible to feel numb, but can you still do what you need/want without feeling good first? And honestly I totally get if you cant. I'm just thinking out loud here. I have gotten like that before. I feel like its gotten better over the last year or so but I remember how it felt and it made me want to curl up in bed in the dark and never do anything again. So no criticism... Just wondering how we can deal with this?

Yeah. That makes sense. It takes time though doesn't it. I think when I try to focus on the task instead of how I feel craptastic it helps... But as you are aware its easier siad than done.
