Not surprising to hear about the significant weight gain while on Paxil and subsequent marked reduction after stopping the medication. SSRI's are known for this side effect. IMO, I do not think the mold caused your OCD obsessions but it very well may have exasperated it and brought it to the surface. I think your best option is to do ERP with a trained therapist. You need to confront the OCD obsessions and learn how to best resist compulsions. You may or may not need to return to taking medication for a while to support you in treatment but, if you do begin medication again, it need not be a permanent part of your life. Anything less than confronting the OCD directly is probably just avoidance and will not help you in the long term.

∆∆∆i agree with everything Fear Strikes Out said. One of the best reasons to use erp to treat OCD rather than or in addition to medication, is that medication usually only helps when you're taking it. Erp teaches you skills you can use throughout your life

I know that I didn't do enough while on Medication to sort out the ocd, I enjoyed the relief of not worrying.

I get that completely. Medication can serve as a bandaid for many months or even years but it is only masking the OCD and can contribute to one procrastinating about doing what is needed to effectively manage one's OCD.
